CSM 30-60-90 Day Plan Template

A clear path from new hire to owning the book in 90 days, built for new CSMs and the managers who onboard them.

New CSMs feel enormous pressure to prove themselves fast. The ones who rush to take over accounts before they understand the business usually spend the next six months cleaning up after themselves, and the team pays for it in churn that could have been prevented.

This plan gives a new CSM three phases: learn and observe in the first 30 days, start doing with support from day 31 to 60, then take full ownership of the book from day 61 to 90. Each phase has actions across people, process, technology, customers and product, with the reason each one matters. It also holds the day 90 success picture you agree on in week one, a people-to-meet tracker, a first read on the book of business, a learning log, process gaps, the day 30, 60 and 90 check-ins and a sign-off. The guide shows managers how to run each check-in.
